Hasan Hasanmktbshbkh@gmail.com
Data transmission has become an important issue in today's telecommunications world. In order to get the best results in sending and receiving data via optical cable, there are various ways to improve the performance of such systems. In this paper, the simulation program (optsystem)was used to design a communication system for data transmission over a fiber optic to compare the performances of the Return to the Zero (RZ) as well as Non Return to the Zero (NRZ) for different distances. The data was sent over distances ranging from 5 km to 50 km, with an increase of 5 km for each measurement. And recording the values of both Q. factor and (BER), as well as recording eye diagram figures for each case in order to compare to get the best performance for each distance used.
2023-09-12T00:00:00+0530Copyright (c) 2023 https://saap.org.in/journals/index.php/tjmdr/article/view/494The Usage and Effect of Social Media Networks on Students’ Academic Achievement in the Case of Assosa University2023-11-19T22:49:46+0530Cheru Haile Tesfaycherusmart@gmail.comYimer Amedieymr4uasu@gmail.comBiniyam Wondiebini1829@gmail.comAbebe Senbetaabebesosw@gmail.comYimenu Atinafyimenatinaf@gmail.comAshagerech Mekuriamekiashu08@gmail.com
Social media network is a phenomenon of web application which has a new science of media network based on web-based service that gives individuals the opportunity to create either a public or group profile within a bounded system. It is so easy to use and does not need skill and professionalism to use it, cheap cost, and the introduction of smartphones leads to social media networks best to use in our daily lives. We can use Social media networks for different reasons in the community and the world. One of the main reasons is communication purpose between individuals aboard live at low cost is the primary advantage. In addition to this, it adds a list of others' profiles to those who share a connection made by others within the system. Therefore, this study was carried out to examine the usage and effect of social media on students’ academic performance at Assosa University. This research adopted descriptive and explanatory research design. It also employed the use of a cross-sectional survey method using survey questionnaires that contained 20 items and focus group discussion. The sample of 382 students was selected from Assosa University using the Yemane sampling method. The data collected was analyzed using descriptive and chi-square(X2) inferential statistics via SPSS 21. Using the chi-square(X2) inferential statistics four variables are significant which include: exposure to social media, daily usage of the social media network, age, and health addiction while student relation and sex problems are not significant.
2023-11-13T00:00:00+0530Copyright (c) 2023 cheru Haile Tesfay, Yimer Amedie, Biniyam Wondie, Abebe Senbeta, Ashagerech Mekuria, Yimenu Atinafhttps://saap.org.in/journals/index.php/tjmdr/article/view/484Transforming Pharmacovigilance Using Gen AI: Innovations in Aggregate Reporting, Signal Detection, and Safety Surveillance2023-10-08T14:22:14+0530John Praveenjjohnpraveen@gmail.comKrishna Kumar CMkrishna.kumar.cm@accenture.comAjay Haralur Channappaa.haralur.channappa@accenture.com
Pharmacovigilance, the science of monitoring and evaluating drug safety, plays a crucial role in ensuring patient well-being and public health. With the advent of artificial intelligence (AI), specifically Gen AI, pharmacovigilance has witnessed a transformative shift. Gen AI's advanced capabilities in real-time signal detection, automated reporting, and data integration have significantly enhanced the efficiency and accuracy of drug safety monitoring and surveillance.

This article explores the role of Gen AI in pharmacovigilance, emphasizing its potential to revolutionize aggregate reporting, signal detection, risk assessment, and safety surveillance. It delves into the challenges and considerations that come with adopting AI in pharmacovigilance, such as ethical and regulatory implications, data privacy and security concerns, and the need for algorithm transparency and interpretability.

The article also discusses the future directions and opportunities for Gen AI in pharmacovigilance which include enhanced signal detection algorithms, personalized safety assessments, and predictive risk modelling and incorporation of emerging technologies like blockchain and IoT that can complement Gen AI and improve data security and real-time monitoring.

Collaborative efforts and data sharing among stakeholders are essential for maximizing Gen AI's potential in pharmacovigilance. Public-private partnerships and global pharmacovigilance networks can accelerate the adoption of AI technologies and drive innovation in drug safety monitoring.

In conclusion, Gen AI presents a transformative opportunity for pharmacovigilance, promising safer medications and improved patient outcomes. Embracing responsible AI adoption, addressing ethical considerations, and encouraging further research are key to unlocking the full potential of Gen AI in advancing drug safety and public health.
2023-10-02T00:00:00+0530Copyright (c) 2023 John Praveenhttps://saap.org.in/journals/index.php/tjmdr/article/view/502A review on columns used in chromatography2023-10-28T14:40:58+0530Sireesha Badrisireeshasiri1282@gmail.comShalini Ksireeshasiri1282@gmail.comJanaki Asireeshasiri1282@gmail.comSailaja Nsireeshasiri1282@gmail.comIshwarya Gsireeshasiri1282@gmail.comSai charan Msireeshasiri1282@gmail.comLokesh kumar Dsireeshasiri1282@gmail.com
Column chromatography is used extensively in nucleic acid chemistry to purify or characterize products from chemical reactions. This appendix focuses on separations using silica gel or alumina. The procedures described include loading the column, assembling the apparatus, separating compounds and collecting fractions, and optimizing chromatography conditions.Column chromatography issimple and the most popularseparation and purification technique. Column chromatography consists of a stationary solid phase that adsorbs and separates the compounds passing through it with the help of a liquid mobile phase. Various stationary phases, such as silica, alumina, calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, starch, and magnesia, and different solvent compositions based on the nature of compounds to be separated and isolated, are used in column chromatography.
2023-10-26T00:00:00+0530Copyright (c) 2023 https://saap.org.in/journals/index.php/tjmdr/article/view/538Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (Broken heart syndrome)2023-11-27T15:27:58+0530Kalepu Manishakalepumanisha9@gmail.comShruti Bhardwajkalepumanisha9@gmail.comSri Alekhya S.Vkalepumanisha9@gmail.comDhanyaswaroopa Pkalepumanisha9@gmail.comRishitha Nallamellikalepumanisha9@gmail.comRandeep Raj V.Ckalepumanisha9@gmail.com
Takotsubo cardiomyopathy or takotsubo syndrome (TTS), also known as stress cardiomyopathy, is a type of non-ischemic cardiomyopathy in which there is a sudden temporary weakening of the muscular portion of the heart. This condition is sometimes called “Broken Heart Syndrome”.it predominantly affects postmenopausal women, often triggered by acute emotional stressors, physical stressors, or a combination of both. The exact pathophysiological mechanisms remain incompletely elucidated. Diagnosis relies on clinical history, physical examination, ECG and cardiomyopathy from acute coronary syndrome is crucial for management.
2023-11-26T00:00:00+0530Copyright (c) 2023
